“We have successfully been using CASY for 10 years now. With CASY we are able to carry out reproducible cell culture experiements even when working with highly aggregated cells.

CASY allows us to consider cell concentration and aggretation when seeding and harvesting cells, as both are measured by CASY. Measuring accuretely cell number, the aggreation factor and the cell volume, gives us the opportunity to express analytical data as concetration per cell. Additionally and the moolar amount of a substance within a cell can be calculated (used for example for metal upatake in µM).”

“Our group is focusing on primary tumor cells grown on 3D polymer scaffolds. For that, we are using CERO 3D to develop a model of drug development and precision medicine. It is particularly important that the cells are viable and proliferating in 3D complex structures as seen in tumor tissues. With the CERO 3D we are implementing and developing tools for patient-specific tumor therapy. Furthermore, the cancer cells isolated from fresh tumor biopsies make treatment optimization possible before a therapy is initiated.
